Pacemaker with means for recording of signals in the atrium and in the ventricle and with means which bring about refractory switching of the signal-recording means for the atrium for a predetermined period starting with recording of the signal when a ventricular action occurs - in a period which starts with the end of the refractory period of the ventricle and ends with that point in time at which an action takes place, is stimulated or ends in the atrium (extrasystole).
