PURPOSE:To prevent control failure for an engine due to program runaway, by resetting all central processing units if at least one program runs away out of the central processing units. CONSTITUTION:When no program runaway takes place in microcomputers 1 and 21, the level of a DC voltage (b) applied to the input of a comparator 15 is kept sufficiently higher than that of a reference voltage (c) and a reset signal appeared at the output of the comparator 15 is zero. If runaway takes place in at least one program of the microcomputers 1 and 21, a reset signal (d) is outputted to the output of the comparator 15 and resets both of the microcomputers 1 and 21. |
