Process and apparatus for the recovery of industrial waste heat from the heat content of metallurgical slag

In a process for the recovery of waste heat from the heat content of slags in granulation, it is proposed that the granulation is performed in a closed chamber with the aid of circulated water and heat content of vapours and unevaporated water is transferred to a heat transport medium, granules and dissolved admixtures being separated from the water and the water thus regenerated being returned into the circulation for granulation.
