<p>The mobile appliance for work on road surfaces comprises a chassis and an air compressor plant. It is designed for rapid cutting of a roadside edge, or for slitting a road surface so that a trench may be excavated. The chassis (1) is fitted with a support wheel (5) which can be steered, and which can be driven at varying speeds by an engine (8) connected to it. The chassis also carries appliance holders (12), and the detachable roadworking appliances (14), which can be attached to the air compressor assembly (4), can be inserted in these. The appliance holders may be connected to cylinders, or other adjusting devices, for independent movement both ways.</p> |
