PURPOSE:The polycondensation reaction between terephthalic acid and glycol is conducted in the presence of a specific amount of trivalent phosphorus compound and alkaline earth metal compound, then the polymer is made into fiber, and the additives are leached with an alkali aqueous solution by a specific amount to produce fiber developing bright color on dyeing and having fine pores. CONSTITUTION:In an appropriate stage of the first stage where dicarboxylic acids mainly composed of terephthalic acid or their ester-forming derivatives and at least one of glycols reacts to form dicarboxylic ester and/or its oligomers or the second stage where the polycondensation reaction of the above ester or its oligomer is effected, (A) 0.5-3mol%, based on the acid component, of a trivalent phosphorus compound and (B) an alkaline earth metal compound in an amount 1-1.7 times that of component A are added, without previous reaction, then, the reaction is effected. Then, the resultant polymer is melt spun and leached with an aqueous alkali by more than 2wt% to produce the objective fiber with fine pores. |
