<p>The invention relates to a process for the biological purification of waste water, whereby dissolved organic and nitrogen compounds are at least partly removed from the waste water, by passing the optionally prepurified waste water through an aerobic nitrification phase and an anaerobic denitrification phase. In order to minimize the oxygen consumption the invention is characterized in that the molecular oxygen concentration in the aerobic phase is controlled at least in part by means of the NOx-N concentration.</p> |
