MANUFACTURING DEVICE FOR INLAY TYPE CLAD STRIP

PURPOSE:To make an inlay type clad strip at a single stroke from a metal bar by composing a long-sized plate material by over-lapping an inlaying stock on a base metal and forming the guide groove of the inlaying material on the plate face at the front part from the side part of the tip of the forming projection part of a plate shaped die. CONSTITUTION:The long-sized plate material 3 pressed by a press roll 4 to a plate shaped die 1 is composed of the inlaying stock 3a at the plate shaped die 1 side and the base metal 3b at the press roll 4 side which is in wider width. On the plate face 1a of the plate shaped die 1 the guide groove 5 of the inlaying stock 3a extending to the front part from the side part of the tip 2a at acute angle of a forming projection part 2 is formed. When the rolling of the press roll 4 and transfer of the plate material 3a are repeated on the plate face 1a of the plate shaped die 1, the inlaying stock 3a is press-fitted in layers into the base metal 3b and a clad strip 6 is formed. In this way, the inlay type clad strip can be manufactured at a single stroke without executing a grooving on the base metal.
