PURPOSE:To maintain the temp. of a fluorescent lamp adequately in an image former provided with a preheating means to a fluorescent lamp for exposure by controlling said preheating means in accordance with on-off switching of the fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION:When a main switch 12 is turned on, relay coils 14A, 18A are turned on to turn on a heat fixing heater 16 and a heater 20 for insulating the heat of a fluorescent lamp, by which the filament of the fluorescent lamp is preheated via a preheating transformer 26. When a copying switch 32 is turned on, a relay control circuit 36 de-energizes a relay coil 18A thereby turning off the heater 20. Then a relay 22A goes on to supply electricity to a stabilizer 24, by which a fluorescent lamp 28 is lighted. At the same time, copying sequence takes place. Upon ending of the copying, a timerI38 operates and when the relay 18 goes on again after this and a timer II 40 times out, all the operations are turned off. |
