PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and durability, by providing a photosensitive layer containing a specified bisazo pigment. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic receptor contains a bisazo pigment represented by general formulaIin which Cp is a coupler residue; and R1, R2 represent H, halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy. A desirable type of photoreceptor consists of an electrically conductive layer, a charge generating layer containing an organic pigment, and a charge transfer layer, but this method can be applied to other types of photoreceptors. |
