The flight stream gasification of fine-particled fuels is carried out at high pressure and at a temperature above the melting point of the ash contained in the fuels, in a reactor (1) which consists of pipes (6) welded gas-tight to one another. The pipes (6) are lined on their inner surface with a refractory material and surrounded on their back surface by a pressure jacket (4). A common outlet nozzle for the flight stream and the liquid ash, present along the longitudinal axis of the reactor (1), is provided at the lower end of the reactor (1). The outlet nozzle likewise consists of pipes (6) lined with a refractory material and welded gas-tight to one another. An annular collecting space (10), closed at the bottom, for the liquid ash fed along the lined inner wall of the reactor (1) is formed between the outlet nozzle (3) and the inner wall of the reactor (1). <IMAGE> |
