PURPOSE:To improve a mixing condition of combustion gas with the air in a combustion apparatus, by providing an intake port which performs a venturi action to the forward position of a microporous plates, installed in a gas passage in a burner to which catalysts for combustion are provided. CONSTITUTION:Combustion gas is fed to a burner 9 from a tank 3 in the case 1 of a main body, passing through a nozzle 7 and a pipe 8. A burner 9 is composed in such a manner that a microporous plate 47, consisting of a metal plate, perforated with micropores, is provided in the middle part between the inlet port 43 of a burner and a mixing pipe 48, and the air is fed to a burner by a venturi action from an intake vent 10, which is provided in the front position of a plate 47. In this case, the diameters of each port of an intake bent 10, a gas passage 49 and a mixing pipe 48 are respectively determined so as to be 30-150 times, 15-50 times, and 15-50 times of the diameter of pore of a porous plate 47, and the length of a mixing pipe 48 is determined more than 170 times of the diameter of the pore of the porous plate 47. With such an arrangement, sufficient air can be taken into a burner from an intake vent 10, as a result, combustion can be taken place in good condition. |
