PURPOSE:To improve the toe-in directing performance of a wheel by constituting a suspension so that the high-rigidity axis lines of a trailing arm cross at the back of a chassis in relation to the connection point of a assist link and the trailing arm in the captioned suspension apparatus for independently suspending rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:The center axis lines of the bushes 2 and 2' which connect the base edges 1a and 1b of a trailing arm 1 to a chassis 4 are inclined by the angles theta1 and theta2 respectively for the swing axis line 6 of the trailing arm, and the intersecting point P on the elongated lines of the high-rigidity axis lines 2a and 2a' is set at the back of the chassis in relation to the connection point 10 of the trailing arm 1 and an assist link 7. With sich a constitution, when a lateral external force F is applied onto a wheel 5, bushes 2 and 2' exert the external force F in the directions A and B of the low-rigidity axis lines, and the wheel 5 can be deformed exceedingly. Thus, the cut angle in the toe-in direction of the wheel 5 can be increased. |
