PURPOSE:To reduce frequency of generating knock by providing in an ignition advancing angle control circuit a retarding angle correction computing circuit for varying an amount of correcting the ignition advancing angle in a knock cylinder and non-knock cylinder and an acceleration retarding angle correcting circuit for retarding same angle in all cylinders at abrupt acceleration. CONSTITUTION:In high load running of an engine producing knock, change in induction discharge voltage of multiple discharge during the combustion period when knock is produced is detected by discharge voltage detector 1, signal process circuit 2 and knock judging circuit 3 to generate knock signals. At the same time by the outputs of a cylinder signal generator 5 and the knock judging circuit 3 is operated a retarding angle correction computing circuit 12 to generate respective retarding angle signal of retarding angle amount to a knock cylinder and non-knock cylinder. When any knocks are produced in the abrupt acceleration of the engine, the retarded angle amount output produced by the retarding angle correction computing circuit 12 is corrected by a acceleration detecting circuit 7 and acceleration retarding angle correcting circuit 13 to retard common angle in all cylinders. |
