PURPOSE:To prevent a wave or an uneven profile from being created on the upper portion of an instrument panel by providing a gap section between the portion suscepticle to thermal deformation and a fitting seat of the instrument panel. CONSTITUTION:A gap section 30 is provided between a fitting seat 11 at individual fitting places A, B, C of a panel 1 and a plane section 9 that is the portion susceptible to thermal deformation of an upper section 9. Accordingly, the plane section 9 at individual fitting places A, B, C is in a condition separated from the fitting seat 11, which is only united in one body with a vertical section 10 through a connecting wall 31, thus the span L from the front edge 9a of the plane section 9 to the connecting well 31 is made longer compared with a conventional one. Thereby, when the plane section 9 undergoes thermal deformation and tends to extend in expansion toward the lateral direction due to the influence by the direct sun light, it can freely extend without being restricted by individual fitting places A, B, C, and no wave is created at the front edge 9a. |
