PURPOSE:To obtan a vertical rib stock having high accuracy and few crack and fracture, by continuously performing a bending work in hot state by using only one set of finish mill, in hot rolling process for flat-bar steel. CONSTITUTION:Both sides of a flat-bar-shaped hot rolling material 2 is tapered so as to form the cross section of the material 2 into a trapezoidal shape. Next, at the time when the material 2 leaves a roll of a rolling mill which precedes a finish mill, the material 2 is bent previously by a guide roller 3 by setting the wider side of said trapezoidal part to the inside. Then the previously bent material 2 is bent and formed into a stock having L-sectional shape by one set of hot rolling bend-forming mill 1. Thus, a vertical rib stock 4 haing high accuracy and few crack and fracture is obtained. |
