PURPOSE:To perform recordings in a high density without causing any information shortage and by reducing the crosstalk, by performing intermittent recordings in such a way that overlapped signals which are compressed in time will not adjoin each other in adjacent tracks. CONSTITUTION:The head of CH-1 runs on a magnetic tape in the direction of X and records luminance signals and chrominance signals for, recording the 1st field of Frame 1 for example. In this case, luminance signals are continuously recorded, but chrominance signals are subjected to twice a time base compression at every 1H and recroded only for the first 1/2H of every 1H. The head of CH-2 records luminance signals and chrominance signals with a deviation of one video track to record the 2nd field of Frame 1. In this case, luminance signals are continuously recorded, but chrominance signals are subjected to a time compression at every 1H and recorded only for the second 1/2H on the contrary to the head of CH-1. |
