<p>A fast idle device for a carburetor such that an optimum throttle valve opening (idle opening) is calculated through a calculating circuit based on various engine operating conditions, after the engine is started, and is controlled repeatedly, until the engine is fully warmed up, in such a way that the throttle valve movement urged by a return spring in the direction to close the valve is released steppedly by a ratchet mechanism. The fast idle device of the present invention comprises various sensors, a calculating circuit, and an electromagnetic ratchet mechanism, in addition to a conventional throttle valve.</p> |
