PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a punching die by forming the shape of notches formed at both sides of a steel strip wider at the inside than the outside when core plates are continuously punched from a steel strip, thereby effectively removing punched chips. CONSTITUTION:When stator core plates 3 of generally square shape is continuously punched from a steel strip 15, notches 13, 14 for passing a clamping member are punched at respective sides of the plates 3. In this case, the shape of the notch 13 to be punched from both sides of the strip 15 is formed larger at the inside depth than the width of the outside inlet. In this manner, since the punched chips of the notch 13 can be effectively removed, the damage of the punching die can be effectively prevented. |
