PURPOSE:To improve the irregular permeance of an air gap by forming a wedge mounted in the opening of a slot of a ferrite magnetic wedge and setting the ratio of the thickness to the width of the slot to a range of 0.2-0.5. CONSTITUTION:A wedge 4 to be inserted into the opening of a slot 3 is formed of a ferrite magnetic wedge. Further, the ratio t/w of the width t of the wedge 4 to the width w of the slot is set to a range of 0.2-0.5. In this manner, even if the magnetic wedge is used, the irregular permeance of the air gap can be sufficiently improved, thereby suppressing the production of an electromagnetic noise and a stray loss. |
