PURPOSE:To construct a simple feeding and shifting mechanism for a ribbon capable of operating securely and composed of a reduced number of component parts, by a method wherein taking-up of an ink ribbon and changing-over of ink color are simultaneously performed by a single flexible member. CONSTITUTION:By moving a carriage 1 along a straight line, a wire 8 fixed to a pin 7 is moved and pulleys 11, 12 are rotated to rotate a driving pin 17, whereby a ribbon feed roller 23 is rotated to feed the ribbon 22. A change-over lever 13 is rotated by a solenoid 18, the pulley 12 is moved in the direction of an arrow 20, a spring 6 is displaced and a shift drive lever 4 is rotated, whereby a ribbon-shifting lever 2 is rotated around a pivot 3 to cause the ribbon 19 to move up and down in the direction of an arrow 21. |
