PURPOSE:To prevent the output voltage drop of an air supply source caused by load variation when the pressure of the source changes by varying the air pressure of a fuel cell through the exhaust pressure of the air supply device or varying the fuel pressure through the air pressure of the cell. CONSTITUTION:A fuel obtained by converting naphtha or the like into hydrogen rich gas by means of a reforming device 2 and an air from an air compressor 3 are supplied to a fuel cell 1, while unreacted fuel is returned to the reforming device 2 and are burnt. A part of thus generated energy is applied to a turbine 4 and the compressor 3 is driven. In this case, the differential pressure of (P1-P2) is always retained by means of the control valve of an air flow control system 9 by varying the pressure set points of the air and fuel pressure control systems 7 and 8 of the cell 1 through the exhaust pressure P1 of the compressor 3, and cell air pressure P2 respectively. As a result, any output voltage drop can be prevented even when the pressure of the air supply source changes due to the load and the intra-cell gas crossover can also be prevented. |
