PURPOSE:To provide the titled roll capable of exerting a uniform pressure to a heat-sensitive head in a bent condition, by a method wherein the diameter of a shaft body for the pressing roll is increased at a central part as compared to end parts of the body, and the thickness of an elastic member such as a rubber material covering the shaft body is reduced at a central part as compared to the end parts. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of the central part of the shaft body 8A of the pressing roll 8 is set to be larger than that of the end parts of the body 8A, and the body 8A is covered by the elastic body 8B such as a rubber material or a felt material. Bearings 9 are provided at places in proximity to the ends of the roll 8, and heat-sensitive recording is conducted by exerting a pressure by a compression spring 11. Accordingly, the apparent hardness (a) of the elastic body 8B becomes higher at the central part than at the end parts, and the pressure (b) exerted by the roll 8 becomes substantially constant irrespectively of the position in the width direction of the heat-sensitive recording paper. |
