PURPOSE:To obtain a highly photosensitive element of which charging performance and dark attenuation characteristic are improved by successively forming a Se layer and a Se-Te layer of which Te concentration is gradually reduced from the center of the layer to the surface by using a specific double construction evaporating source board. CONSTITUTION:At first, a Se layer is evaporated on a conductive base element such as an Al plate. Then, an Se-Te arroy containing a high concentration of 10-18wt% Te is put on holes 4 drilled into the lower surface of an upper tank 1, a Se-Te alloy containing a low concentration of 0-8wt% Te is put in a lower tank 3 and the upper and lower tanks are insulated by an insulator 2 to use as a double construction evaporation source board. Subsequently power supplying conditions are suitably set up to form a photosensitive layer laminated by Se-Te alloy layer so that the concentration of Te is gradually reduced from the center to the surface. Thus the photosensitive element with high sensitivity of which charging performance and dark attenuation characteristic are improved is obtained suiting to a color copying machine. |
