PURPOSE:To transmit sufficiently strong light to a main optical fiber by coupling many light emitting diodes with sub-optical fibers and also coupling the other ends of these sub optical fibers with a main optical fiber through a lens system. CONSTITUTION:Rays of light projected from many light emitting diodes 1 are propagated in many sub-optical fibers 2 coupled with the light emitting diodes 1, projected from the other end of the flux of these fibers bundle in parallel and made incident to a main optical fiber 5 through a rod lens 4, so that sufficiently strong light is transmitted to the main optical fiber 5. |
