PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity for transfer of a hopper car by loading the hopper with bulk cargo in such a way that the cargo is supplied continuously to the truck, which runs in the same direction as the hopper car, from a stationary conveyor through a tripper. CONSTITUTION:A hopper car 1 is introduced onto a side-truck 14 and is stopped just under the traveling truck 3 which is now at a standstill after retraction. The tripper 9 is also shifted so that it stops right over the No.1 hopper 5. The input conveyor 11 and stationary conveyor 8 are put in operation, and No.1 hopper 5 is fed with bulk cargo to load the hopper car 1. When a certain set amount is attained, the gate of the hopper 5 is shut and the tripper 9 is advanced so that No.2 hopper 5 is fed with bulk cargo. Thus hopper cars 1 are loaded through repetition of this procedure. |
