PURPOSE:In a control method for the conveyance or the like of a powdery or granular material by gas, to adjust the pressure of the source of the gas while maintaining the heightening of the pressure of a supply container and a gas supply pressure control valve within their optimal ranges. CONSTITUTION:A powdery material 1 is stored in a replenishing container 2 under the atmospheric pressure. When the amount of the powdery material in a supply container 3 has become small, a valve is opened to replenish the supply container with the material. The powdery metal 1 is also housed in a feed container 4. The powdery material, which is introduced under pressure by carrier gas conducted as shown by an arrow A in the drawing and drops through a material takeout port 7, flows together with the gas to a confluence section 15. Injected gas flows as shown by an arrow B. The injected gas goes to the confluence section 15 while the flow rate of the gas is controlled by a valve 14. The injected gas is mixed with the powdery material 1 and the carrier gas so that they are conducted under pressure to a powdery material processing unit 16 such as a blast furnace and introduced into it. |
