摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the vibration of a workpiece during machining by shifting the position of a fixing shaft of a pair of grinding stones in vertical and opposite directions by the same distance based on the position of a fixing shaft of a workpiece and by rotating the grinding stones in the same direction. CONSTITUTION:The fixing shafts 15 and 16 for grinding stones 17 and 18 are shifted in the vertical direction by the same distance based on a fixing shaft 14 of a workpiece W. Therefore, the grinding stone 17 is brought into contact with a slightly lower part of one side of the workpiece W positioned for grinding, while the grinding stone 18 is brought into contact with a slightly upper part of the other side of the workpiece W. If the grinding stones 17 and 18 are respectively rotated in the same direction, for example, conter-clockwise direction, one side surface of the workpiece W is machined in the lower direction while the the other side surface is machined in the upper direction. By machining in this manner, cutting resistance to the workpiece W occurs in different positions and as a result, cutting torque acts in different directions, thereby inhibiting the generation of vibration.
