PURPOSE:To obtain a film-shaped ion selection ion electrode of dry type without requiring complicated anti-short circuit measures by covering edge faces of an electricity conductive layer with an ion selection layer. CONSTITUTION:The edge faces of electricity conductive layers 2 in a film shaped on ion selection electrode that is formed by electricity conductive layers 2 and ion selection layers 5 succeessively laminated one on the other are covered with an ion selection layer 5. For example, out of four edge faces of an ion selection film that has laminated constitution of a supporting body 1, electricity conductive layers 2 of metal silver and ion selection layers 5 are beforehand covered with an ion selection layer 5. In the case in which layers 3 of salt that is not soluble in water is provided on electricity conductive metal layer 2 or electrolyte layers 4 are provided additionally, more than one edge faces that include those layers 3 and 4 are covered by the ion selection layer 5. |
