PURPOSE:To hold the toner density of each developing equipment of a color copying machine in a set value, by measuring the toner density continuously from the elapse of a certain time after the start and supplying the toner when the number of times of continuous transmission of a supply signal reaches a prescribed value as the result. CONSTITUTION:After a developing equipment is turned on, the toner adjustment is made possible after a prescribed time, and the toner density is detected continuously from this time point to the stop of the developing equipment when the toner density does not reach a prescribed set range to transmit a supply signal continuously as the result, a counter of a controlling circuit is counted up by (1); and when contents of the counter reach a prescribed value, it is discriminated that there is no toner residual quantity, and a toner supply indication signal is transmitted to supply a prescribed quantity of the toner. When the toner supply signal is not transmitted continuously, the counter is not counted up, and the detection of the toner density is inhibited simultaneously with the stop of the developing equipment. |
