PURPOSE:To perform a stable fixing, by turning on and off heat source in a heat roller by a temperature detector which is provided near the heat roller of a copying machine or the like and controlling rotations of the heat roller and a pressure roller by a temperature detector provided near the pressure roller. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 1 of a heat roller 4 is covered with a polytetrafluoroethylene layer 2, and a heat source 3 such as a halogen lamp is provided in the pipe 4. A thermistor 5 provided on the roller 4 detects the surface temperature of the roller 4 and sends it to a CPU11, and the CPU11 controls turn-on and off of the heat source 3 to keep the surface temperature of the roller 4 constant. A metallic pipe 6 of a pressure roller 8 is covered with a silicone rubber 7 and is compressed to the roller 4. A surface temperature S1 of the roller 8 detected by a thermistor 9 provided under the roller 8 is compared with a set temperature S2 in a comparator 10, and the comparison result is inputted to the CPU11 and is given to a transistor 13 through an OR gate 12, and the rotation and the stop of a motor 14 are controlled upon non-fixing, and the motor 14 is rotated continuously by a recording paper passage signal S6. |
