PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive typewriter that does not lose properties of a daisy typewriter easy to select types of the desired form by mechanizing the whole type selecting mechanism of the daisy typewriter. CONSTITUTION:When a key 3 is selected and depressed, the center of revolution of a long lever 13 varies along a high line 12 because U-form finger pieces 26 change with keys. When the angle of revolution of a bell crank 10 varies and the amount of revolution of a groove wheel 19 varies, the parallel move of an endless rope 21 varies and therefore the angle of revolution of a type board 2 changes to select the desired type. Long levers 13, 14 revolve centering projecting pieces 18, 18 by the oscillation of a pair of oscillating levers 11, 11 through connecting levers 16, 16. If the free end of the U-form finger piece 26 does not fall, the bell cranks 10, 10 do not deform at all, but if the key 3 is depressed and the free end of the U-form finger piece 26 touching the key 3 falls, the long levers revolve and the bell crank 10 is turned. The angle of revolution varies according to the position of the U-form finger piece 26. |
