A well-tolerated anti-hay fever composition which does not make the patient feel tired, characterised in that it contains one or more hydroxyphenylalkanolamines of the general formula <IMAGE> where the OH group is in the m or p position and R and R' are identical or different and denote hydrogen, a methyl or an ethyl group, where appropriate in combination with a calcium salt and/or ascorbic acid.
