<p>The multiple ingot mold is comprised on one hand of a box-shaped frame (1), laterally closed, which forms a hydraulic pressure chamber and is used to carry the individual ingot molds (5) and to supply them with water and, on the other hand, of several individual ingot molds (5) which contain each of them a water chamber (9) and are each provided either with an annular ejection slot or with a crown (12) of ejection holes. The upper face of the frame (1) comprises as many openings (7) as there are individual ingot molds (5); said openings (7) bring the cooling water of the frame (1) to the individual ingot molds (5). Each individual ingot mold (5) is provided at its lower face with water supply openings (13) which correspond to the openings (7) of the frame (1). The water supply openings of the frame (1) respectively of the individual ingot molds (5) are selected so that the frame (1) has crowns of holes (7) and the individual ingot molds (5) have annular slots (13) or vice versa, or so that both have crowns of holes. When the water supply openings (13) of the individual ingot molds (5) are facing the water supply openings (7) of the frame (1), the individual ingot molds (5) are set on the frame (1) and they are pressed against the upper face of the frame either by their own weight or by an additional force. There is thus established a connection between the inside of the frame (1) and the water chambers (9) of the individual ingot molds (5) so that the frame (1) and the individual ingot molds (5) form a complex multiple ingot mold.</p> |
