PURPOSE:To improve dimensional accuracy of worked products in spinning a material by a mandrel and a finishing roll by detecting returning of metal of the material and correcting work locus of the finishing roll by the detected value. CONSTITUTION:A material 3 supported by a mandrel and a tail stock 4 rotated and formed by a finishing roll 2, and spinning worked. In this case, amount (a) of returning of metal is detected by a gap sensor 9 as amount of movement of a detection plate 8 attached to the tail stock 4. The detected value is inputted to a deciding-arithmetic device, and if the value exceeds a specified value, work locus of the finishing roll 2 is corrected to make clearance between the finishing roll 2 and mandrel 1 large, or to increase feed speed of the finishing roll 2, or to realize the above two simultaneously. This is then fed back to the roll driving device. Thus, the material 3 sticks fast to the mandrel 1 and a product of good dimensional accuracy is obtained. |
