PURPOSE:To provide a sand molding device which sucks air through many vent holes and prevents sticking of sand on the inside walls of a reservoir tank of double construction wherein sand prior to blowing into molds is stored in using a material of small critical surface tension in constituting the inside cylinder of said tank. CONSTITUTION:After sand is replenished from a sand hopper 1 into an inside cylinder 6 of a reservoir tank 4, a spherical rotary valve 3 is closed and with a gushing head 8 held retreated, the mold 9 on a mold cradle 10 is press-stuck to a blow head 7 by the operation of a cylinder 11. When air is fed through a piping 2, air flow A enters the cylinder 6 directly and air flow B enters the cylinder 6 after it passes through vent holes 15 from between the cylinder 6 and an outside cylinder 5, thereby blowing sand into the mold 9. The cylinder 6 consists of an org. structural material of <=24 dyne/cm critical surface tension and 5-20mm. thicknesses or a metallic cylinder consisting of the same material as the one mentioned above and having lining of about 1-5mm. thicknesses. |
