PURPOSE:A sample is made to act on the titled substrate for activity determination and the oxidase corresponding to the reaction product is made to act and the amount of oxygen consumed, or of hydrogen peroxide or ammonia formed is measured to determine the activity of the titled substance. CONSTITUTION:A sample for determining the activity of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase is made to act on the substrate for determining its activity of the formula (R is organic group such as phenyl, hydroxybenzyl, hydroxyalkyl) or its salt. Substituted methylamine such as benzylamine, thyramine or propylamine is formed as a reaction product and an oxidase corresponding to the product is made to react with the product and the amount of oxygen consumed by the reaction, or hydrogen peroxide or ammonia formed is measured with the oxygen electrode or hydrogen peroxide electrode to determine the activity of the titled enzyme. |
