The machine distributes blocks of fodder extracted from a silage pit, having an intake chamber with scraper floor, rigid sides, and an inclined elevator supplying a transverse conveyor belt. At the open rear end of the chamber (5) is a hinging thrust plate (17) on a boom (9) and movable vertically or horizontally by means of arms (16). The working range of the plate extends from a point clear of the machine rear end for a distance greater than the width of a block (4) over the intake rail (8) and as far as the start of the scraper floor (18).
