In this method, individual fertilization is carried out in each case and, immediately thereafter, a plant is put into the ground, the fertilizer discharged also being worked additionally into the ground as a result of the planting operation. To carry out this method, a combined appliance consisting of a hydraulic individual fertilization device and of a hydraulic individual planting machine is provided, its essential parts, namely the fertilizer-metering device with the fertilizer discharge tube, on the one hand, and the planting arm of the individual planting machine, on the other hand, being adapted to one another in their constructional assembly and being coupled and coordinated with one another in the hydraulic control. The individual fertilization device and the individual planting machine are preferably combined to form a tractor mounting unit, as shown in Figure 1. <IMAGE>
