The aim is for an angled mirror, consisting of a plastic core, which has end glasses arranged on an outward-looking side and on an inward-looking side, as well as deflecting mirrors provided on two deflecting surfaces, to be improved in order effectively to prevent the penetration of moisture and/or solvents into the plastic core. For this purpose, the plastic core (11) is equipped on its free outer surfaces, i.e. on those surfaces which are located outside the end glasses (14) and the deflecting mirrors (16), with a coating (17) of a material impervious to moisture and solvent. The coating (17) preferably consists of a metal foil, in particular an aluminium foil. In order to increase reliability with respect to the undesired penetration of moisture and/or solvents, it is provided to cover the joints or circumferential edges in the transition region between the end glasses (14) and the deflecting mirrors (16) and the plastic core (11) with an additional layer which consists of a material impervious to moisture and solvent, or at least of a material which diminishes the perviousness to moisture and solvent. <IMAGE>
