PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium with high sensitivity and long life, specially, even when an organic resin substrate is used, by forming a recording film which contains low melting point metals, and C, N and H on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 1, a film of metals (Bi, Zn, etc.) having 25- 600 deg.C fusion points, or an alloy of Bi2Te3, InSb, etc., is formed in gaseous N2 and gaseous CH4 by one of methods, such as ion plating, reactive sputtering, etc., which suits to the metals, thus forming a recording film 2 which contains 5-40atom% C, 5-40atoms% H, and 5-30atom% N. The film 2 has a 200Angstrom - 1mum thickness. Consequently, the film 2 never becomes transparent owing to oxidation by O2 in the air and humidity, and therefore neither deteriorates in sensitivity nor decreases in output, thereby obtaining high sensitivity and long life. |
