摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium with high sensitivity and long life by forming a recording film which contains low melting point metals, C, B, and H on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:On a glass or synthetic resin substrate 1, a layer which contains metals and alloys with 25-600 deg.C fusion points, and C, B, and H is formed to a 200Angstrom -1mum thickness to obtain a recording film 2. When the low-fusion-point metals are represented as M1-x-yCxBy(H), the film 2 contains 5-40atom% C and 1-50 atom% B, and the content of H is determined by (x) and (y) so that the best chemical stability is obtained. For example, Bi (fusion point; 217 deg.C) is used and in mixed gas (10<-3> Torr) of CH4 and B2H6, the film 2 which contains about 30 atom% C and about 2 atom% B, and H based upon them is formed by reactive ion plating at a 10 mixing ratio CH4/B2H4. The film 2 is not so much deteriorated in sensitivity due to O2 and humidity and is amorphous, so a recording body with high sensitivity and long life is obtained.
