PURPOSE:To ease a reinforcing operation and to improve reliability of a reinforced part, by using an electrically resisting heat element as a reinforcing member for a connecting part. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber is inserted previously into a hollow part of a reinforcing member consisting of a heat shrinkable tube 1, a hot-melt adhesive tube 2 and a rod electric resistance heat element 3, and an optical naked wire 5 in which plastic coating layers 6, 7, 8 are removed is melt-stuck and connected. The reinforcing member is disposed so as to cover the layers 6, 7, 8 at both ends of the melt-stuck and connecting part 5A of the optical fiber, and when voltage is applied to both ends of the heat element 3, the tube 2 is fused to become an adhesive layer 2' and at the same time as shown in figure, the tube 1 is shrunk in its diametral direction, and the optical fiber connected part 5A and the heat element 3 are united to one body in the state that they are included in the inner part of the heat shrunk tube 1. |
