PURPOSE:To move a recording head accurately at a small pitch in an outgoing path and to return the recording head to the original position at a high speed by driving a pulse motor by a one phase and two phase excitation method. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 7 controls the operation of the recording head and the pulse motor 2 in accordance with the instruction from an input means 8. The control circuit 7 comprises a CPU, an ROM, an RAM, and PIO. In the ROM, control programs and character pattern generating codes are stored. The control circuit 7 imparts forward rotation pulses and reverse rotation pulses to a pulse motor driving circuit 13 in order to control the pulse motor 2. The driving circuit 13 rotates the pulse motor 3 in the forward or reverse direction by every one step at every time it receives the forward rotation pulses or the reverse rotation pulses by the one phase and two phase excitation method. |
