PURPOSE:To shorten the cooking time and to allow food to be scorched in cooking using a microwave range, by cooking food with the titled heating body situated adjacent to the food, the body comprising a sintered silicon carbide body having a specific resistance not less than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:During cooking by a microwave range, the titled heating body wherein use is made of a sintered silicon carbide body having a specific resistance not less than OMEGA-cm is situated adjacent to food. Thus, the heating body absorbs microwaves to heat to about 300 deg.C so that the food is scorched and is heated to its center to be cooked within a short period. |
