PURPOSE:To obtain a light receiving element having near IR absorbing capability suitable for use with an automatic exposure meter in a camera by a method wherein an organic compound based IR absorbing agent containing a resin absorbing little visible frequencies is used in molding a light receiving element composed of an Si photo diode. CONSTITUTION:An organic compound based near IR absorbing agent composed of a metal complex and an organic salt is applied to and coats an Si photodiode working as a light receiving element, and the element is molded. A formula 1, where R1 is a methyl group (-CH3), hydrogen atom (H), chlorine atom (Cl) or bromine atom (Br), X is a quaternary ammonium ion (NR4), and M is a platinum (Pt) containing nickel (Ni), paradium (Pd). Or,a formula 2 where R2 is H, Cl or Br, and M is Ni, Pd or Pt, may be used. Molding will be done in a metal mold and curing will be conducted at prescribed temperatures. |
