The subject of the invention is a collapsible mast for small boats. According to the invention, the mast consists of a plurality of tubular elements which can be assembled and disassembled easily and quickly without the use of a tool, socket connections being provided in order to enable the elements to be fixed together. In the example shown, the mast comprises four superposable elements 1, 6, 7, 11 forming respectively the mast foot, body and head. The superposition is obtained by the partial axial interpenetration of two consecutive elements. The tube 1 comprises a part 3 made of self-lubricating material, a relatively resilient part 4 forming a stop block for the female part of the tube 6, a ring 5 made from a rigid material fixing the parts 3 and 4 on the tube 1. An identical arrangement is provided for the assembly 8-9-10 of the tube 7 and for the assembly 12-13-14 of the tube 11. Applications: masts of reduced size for transportation, in particular for windsurfers, dingies and sailing boats. <IMAGE>
