PURPOSE:To output electric power of fixed frequency while reduce electric power and save energy, by connecting secondary excitation wound-rotor induction generators to main Diesel engines. CONSTITUTION:Main engines 2A, 2B are driven, when a ship is normally sailed, surplus heat, generated by exhaust gas from these engines, is utilized, and pressure steam is generated by boilers 22A and 22B. Accordingly, a turbine 23 is started driving at output of a command from an automatic parallel operation controller 30, and an exhaust gas turbogenerator 3A is operated generating power by excitation of an exciter 5A. If output of the turbine 23 is fully generated soon, synchronous closing between an auxiliary generator 15 and gas turbogenerator 21 is performed by the controller 30. Here the controller 30 causes the auxiliary generator 15 to transfer its load further to the other generators, and a breaker 18 is turned off to stop an auxiliary engine 16. Accordingly, parallel operation can be performed from three sets of generators 3A, 3B and 21. |
