PURPOSE:To provide an ink compsn. having a low viscosity, containing no minute bubbles and producing prints with excellent color definition, prepared by adding specified ethylenediamine and polyhydric alcohol to an aqueous soln. of dye. CONSTITUTION:The ink compsn. is prepared by mixing about 0.1-15% water- soluble dye[e.g., Eosine (C.I. 45380) or Kayaset Black (C.I. 35255)], about 0.01- 20% N,N,N',N'-tetrakis-(2-hydroxyalkyl)ethylenediamine of formulaI[where R1-4 are groups of formula II (n is 0-3)], polyhydric alcohol (deriv.) (e.g. ethylene glycol or glycerol) and water, at normal temp. to around 50 deg.C. The viscosity and surface tension are adjusted to below 5cps and 40-60dyne/cm at 20 deg.C, respectively. |
