PURPOSE:To reduce the wear of the surface of a pavement, by obliquely cutting the edge of the tip of a spike. CONSTITUTION:The edge of the tip 2 of a spike is processed into an obliquely cut facet 3, 31. Triangular protrusions 6 are provided on the opposite peripheral sections of a circular flange 5 provided near the butt 4 of the spike 1, to prevent it from turning in the rubber layer of a tire. Since the obliquely cut facet 3, 31 is provided, the wear of the surface of a pavement by the spike 1 during the movement of the tire is reduced. |
