PURPOSE:To form a latent image at a high speed by arranging a high-permeablemagnetic material relatively low in the magnetic transformation point at the lower part of a gap of a magnetic recording head core as a spacer and a heat generating means divided corresponding to the picture element width therebeneath. CONSTITUTION:Alternate current flows through a wiring 6, where it is given an optimum value the frequency depending on the relative speed and the size of toner. When there is not D.C. supply to a heat generating section 4 divided into the picture element width through a conductor, line of magnetic force passing a magnetic head core 5 runs through a high permeable magnetic material 8, forming a closed magnetic circuit. Subsequently, direct current flows through the winding selectively according to picture information to heat the high permeable magnetic material 8 above the magnetic transformation point, eventually turning it into a non-magnetic material. The magnetic circuit leaks into a gap near the high permeable material 8. If overriding the magnetic resistance of a recording medium 1, it leaves an magnetic latent image of a magnetic pattern. By insulating heat with a non-magnetic member 7, the thermal deformation of the base layer 2 of the recording medium is prevented. |
